Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology Course
This is a stand-alone, home-study qualification in Anatomy & Physiology. It is the foundation required for many Aesthetic qualifications and courses as well as some Complimentary and Holistic therapies.
This home-study course is designed to give you the essential foundation knowledge and understanding needed to pursue a career as a complimentary or aesthetic practitioner.
This qualification will develop your knowledge and understanding of the organisation of the body, and the structure, function and pathologies of the skin, hair and nails. You will also learn about the structure, function and pathologies of the human body systems including, the skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, urinary and reproductive system.
As this is a home study course there are no timetabled start dates. You can begin this course anytime!
You will be allocated 6 months from the date your course information and worksheets have been sent to complete all elements and achieve your qualification.
Upon booking this course you’ll be sent details of the textbook and workbook which you’ll need to purchase, along with a series of worksheets from Omni Academy which act as the perfect revision tool once you’ve completed the workbook. Once completed you will need to arrange to sit your online, multiple choice exams (these can be sat remotely from home) and submit your workbook for marking.
There are two online exams for this course, each paper will take up to 2 hours. When your exams have been achieved and we have marked your workbook and worksheets and checked all is correct, we’ll apply for your qualification.

What is a Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology equivalent to?
The VTCT Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology qualification required work to the same level as an A-Level, although is smaller in size than a full A-Level. This course is specifically designed to methhodically take you through the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the body, step by step and can be completed your own time and at your own pace. What can I do with a Level 3 anatomy and physiology?
This course can be studied on its own to further your depth of knowledge and understanding of the body and its systems and to complement existing qualifications and skills across a range of beauty, massage, nails and aesthetics treatments and therapies. It is also commonly required as a gateway qualification which must be achieved ahead of progression onto further beauty aesthetics training, such as Laser & IPL and injectables courses.
Is it hard to pass Anatomy and Physiology?
There is a fair amount of knowledge to learn about during the Anatomy and Physiology Course, however it is split up into sections in the Textbook and Workbook, so you can chip away at it bit by bit to make it more manageable. We also send across lots of helpful revision sheets to you, to help you prepare for the exams and ensure that all knowledge is covered.
Once you have completed the workbook, you send it back to the academy we will then mark it and you are then ready to get booked in for your exams.
As you there is a good amount of detail in the workbook and revision sheets that are sent across the online test questions are fairly straightforward and not too difficult to answer. The anatomical systems are spilt over 2 short tests.
The exams can be completed online via the VTCT platform. You have approximately 2hrs to answer each exam. Most students have both tests completed within 2 hours.
