How do I become a certified massage therapist UK and how long does it take?

Our VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage course will give you an internationally recognised, fully insurable, professional qualification.

We run this course across 4 days training or 8 evenings. Alongside the training days students will have home study assignments and case studies to complete. When ready, they’ll return to the academy to carry out practical assessments and online, multiple choice exams.
Six months is allocated to complete and achieve all elements which is plenty of time for this qualification. Although it can be completed much sooner.

Do I need a licence to massage in UK?

In some boroughs such as London, a licence is required to practice professional massage so its worth checking with your local council. We would also always recommend gaining a professional qualification to begin with, as this will enable you to gain insurance with any insurance provider of your choice. Insurance is something which all professional massage and beauty therapists should have in place when working with paying clients.
