Our one day workshop builds on existing knowledge of Laser and IPL for hair removal and skin rejuvenation covering further techniques and capabilities using the Superbium bios.
Prerequisite
VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatments or equivalent.
Course Requirements
Tattooing is the process of ink being injected into the dermis, the second layer of the skin. The cells of the dermis are more stable than the those within the epidermis, ensuring the ink remains in place permanently with only minor fading and dispersion.
Tattooing dates back as far as ancient Egyptian periods. Originally used, it is thought, for medical purposes, over the centuries it has become a way of expression through permanent body art.
As with many forms of expression, fashions and trends come and go. As a result now more than ever before, people are seeking ways they can remove tattoos which although they may have loved in the past, they now regret.
Learn how to develop a realistic treatment plan for each individual client and perform the safe removal of both colourful and dark pigment tattoos.
Fungal Nail Infections also known as Onychomycosis and Tinea Unguium can affect either the fingernails or the toenails. Fungal nail infections occur from over development of fungi in, under, or on the nail plate. Fungi thrive in warm, moist environments. The infection may affect part of the nail, the entire nail, or several nails. Common signs of a fungal nail infection include; a distorted nail that may lift off from the nail bed; an odour coming from the infected nail; a brittle or thickened nail.
Traditional methods of treating fungal nail infections can take a long time and often only work on a topical basis.
Using laser to treat the infection works by increasing the temperature underneath the nail bed which kills the fungi.
