Money Part 1: Finance and Legal Essentials

By the end of this first workshop you will:

• Understand how the finances of your business work
• Know what to measures and what actions to take
• Be able to calculate your profitability and the impact of different pricing decisions
• Feel more confident about managing the risks in your business and what insurance you might need
• Know what it means to be self employed and what being an employer of others entails
• Know when and where to go for specialist help and advice

Money Part 2: Beautiful Business Models

In this workshop you will consolidate and apply your financial skills from the first money workshop. You will discover how to design a business model that matches the scale and profitability of the business you want to create.

We will examine the three fundamental business models in the industry, understand how they work and the pros and cons of each.
We’ll then bring these to life by reference to real-life case studies from those with successful beauty businesses.

As a result, you will be able to tune up your business, get new ideas for how to grow and develop and have the confidence to make informed choices. You will also learn some practical business tools that will help you develop your own unique, profitable business model, informed by the case studies.

Going beyond the basics, this enable more advanced thinking on creating a future business that will work well for you, your customers, clients and your team, if you choose to have one.

As a result of this workshop you will:

• Be able to design a business model that works for you
• Have the practical information needed to make informed choices
• Know what challenges to anticipate and how to overcome them
• Know the practical lessons learnt by others and the mistakes to avoid in your own business
• Have all the key content required to put together the core of a business plan

Note – This module is only available to those who have attended Money Part 1 as it builds on this first module and assumes that you understand all the concepts covered in that module.
