Aesthetics Courses

What qualifications do you need to be an aesthetic practitioner?

There are varying types of aesthetic practices, some require different pre-requisites to others. As a basic entry into aesthetic treatments you would need to achieve at minimum a VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Anatomy & Physiology or equivalent. At Omni we offer this as a home study course meaning you can start at any time. The course averagely takes 3-5 months to complete.

Depending on the types of aesthetic treatments therapists are performing, other common pre-requisites are the VTCT Level 2 Award in Facial Massage and Skincare and the VTCT Provide Facial Electrotherapy Treatments, or equivalent. Further qualifications such as VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatments and VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Certificate in Skin Needling are also commonplace in order to practice these treatments.
