Level 4 Skin Peeling Course

This is an advanced qualification teaching you all the theoretical and practical skills required to perform Chemical Skin Peeling treatments . Our course is specifically designed for therapists who would like to become a qualified, non-medical, aesthetic technician or develop their existing skills, to specialise in this highly sought after advanced skincare treatment.
Your training will teach you how you to perform advanced skin analysis, enabling you to identify those clients suitable for Chemical Skin Peeling treatments and formulate a specific treatment plan to suit the individual client needs. Throughout your training you will develop a comprehensive understanding of managing safe working practices and how to identify and control hazards within an aesthetic clinic or beauty salon environment.
Upon successful completion of this course you will leave with a high level of both underpinning knowledge and practical competence at performing Chemical Skin Peeling treatments to a range of clients.
Course Requirements
Additionally, this advanced Beauty Aesthetic qualification requires students to hold either a Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification (including Facial and Body Electricals) or, at minimum a Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology qualification, together with a Level 2 Facials & Skincare qualification.

Option A: 6 Days 9:30am – 4:30pm spread across 18 weeks + 1 assessment day
Course Content
* Principles and practice of non-medical aesthetic therapies
* Advanced consultation for non-medical aesthetic therapies
* Advanced skin care for non-medical aesthetic therapies
* Provide chemical skin peeling treatments
* Working with Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid
Each unit will require a large amount of self-study from home. Whilst attending the training centre you will carry out the required case studies for this qualification. After completing your course, you will need to come back to demonstrate your abilities in front of an ITEC examiner and complete an exam.

You will learn the theory of the treatment first, and spend the majority of the training days acquiring and demonstrating your practical skills.

How is the VTCT Level 4 Chemical Peel Course structured?
The Level 4 Skin Peeling course runs over a period of 15-18 weeks. Training begins at Omni Academy on Tuesdays for 3 sessions to learn the theory and practical skills behind Chemical Skin Peeling. You will then have a break in learning for 7-10 weeks to focus on your theory assignments. Following this break you will come back into the Academy for 3 further practical sessions, which will help to prepare you for your End Point Assessment, which is a practical exam conducted by an external assessor and takes place at Omni Academy.
Can I attend your Skin Peeling and Micro needling Courses at the same time?
Yes! This course is commonly studied alongside the Level 4 Skin Needling course. Some of the theory modules cross over and are the same for both qualifications so you’ll only need to complete this element once. If studying these courses together, you can achieve both qualifications at the same time it would take you to achieve one!
What skincare brand do you use for chemical peel training?
During the training we use Mccosmetics products.
How will I be assessed for the skin peeling course?
Throughout the training you will have assessments, case studies and home study that will need to be completed. Once this is all done, and all the training sessions have been completed you will be required to come back into the academy to demonstrate your abilities in front of an ITEC examiner and complete an online, multiple choice, theory exam.
