As the vibrant colours of spring begin to awaken the world, now is the perfect time to embrace growth and renewal in all aspects of life. For those in the beauty industry, this season presents an opportunity to refine skills, learn new techniques, and flourish professionally. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting your journey in the world of beauty, there’s always room to expand your knowledge and expertise. In this article, we’ll unveil five captivating beauty and hairdressing training courses, each designed to help you flourish and thrive as you embrace the spirit of spring.

1. VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage

This course requires a 1 day per week commitment for 4 weeks. We have two courses starting in the next couple of months. The first starts on Saturday 27th April and runs over 4 Saturdays. The second is starting on Thursday 16th May and runs over 4 Thursdays.

This course is the most commonly used qualification type for body massage -providing an excellent platform for further learning. This qualification will give you the skills required to perform a full body massage in a safe and effective manner.  On completion of the four day massage course you will be able to carry out a full-body massage using professional techniques – for the relief of muscle tension, improved circulation, lymphatic drainage and stress relief.

Our Swedish massage course covers the full body – including the scalp, head and neck. It also demonstrates the use of infra-red lamp, gyratory machines and audio-sonic vibration.

2. Level 2 Women’s Hairdressing Course

This is the first stage in becoming a fully qualified Hairdresser. Starting on 24th April, you will study for 2 days per week for 26 weeks. That means you could be a qualified Hairdresser by October!

You will learn about health and safety for your client, yourself and your work area. We will provide you with the skills and information on how to perform traditional and contemporary hair cutting, styling and colouring treatments safely and effectively, to the current industry standards.

3. VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatments

This is an advanced qualification teaching you all the theoretical and practical skills required to perform hair removal and skin rejuvenation treatments using both Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) machines. Our course is specifically designed for therapists who would like to become a qualified aesthetic technician specialising in both hair removal and skin rejuvenation treatments.

Starting on 28th May, this course requires that you hold a Level 3 Beauty Therapy or Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology certificate. But, don’t worry if you don’t have these – we offer a home study Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology qualification. If you book these courses together, you will even get a discount!

4. VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Nail Treatments

This is the first stage in becoming a nail technician and an excellent platform for further learning in the beauty industry. This expert course is designed for aspiring nail technicians, beauty enthusiasts and individuals seeking to master the skills of providing professional manicures and pedicures. Learn from seasoned industry professionals who bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to guide you through every aspect of manicure and pedicure treatments. 

Our next course starts on 22nd March, but if you miss this, we have other intakes later in the year.

5. VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Stone Therapy Massage

This massage is hugely popular in the industry and is a much sought after treatment by clients. You are taught the application of hot and cold stones. Once these skills are taught they can be used within facials, manicures and pedicures, giving your client a luxury and advanced treatment with all the benefits that working with stones provides.

This 2-day course running on 21st & 22nd June requires the Swedish Massage Certificate or equivalent. If you do not have this, our course starting on 16th May mentioned above, will be finished by then!
