COVID-19: IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Statement from Omni Academy
At Omni Academy our priority continues to be the Health, Safety and Well-being of our students and our staff. Therefore we are continuing to closely monitor and follow the advice for schools and colleges from Public Health England, our exam board VTCT and Ofqual.
We have been working hard to carefully plan and implement contingencies to all courses and training. Where required and where possible, this is has been moved to remote learning via online tutorials.
Remote learning options is something we have been developing behind the scenes for sometime now and we’re pleased to announce we have now rolled this it out across some of our courses as a permanent fixture. Please see our Home Study Courses and Blended Home Study Courses pages.
For those who are looking to enrol on courses with Omni in the current months, please be reassured that training is still continuing as normal.
If you’re currently on a programme with Omni, we have put together some further updates for you.
Past Students
If you have completed your training with us recently and are awaiting your qualification, please rest assured the exam board VTCT are still issuing certificates. Whilst there has been a slight delay in certificates being posted, these are now starting to clear and we are receiving them at Omni.
If you you’ve missed an email from us regarding collection of your certificate/portfolio please contact the office so that we can help you further.
Present Students
Completing Training
If you were part way through your training when the November-December lockdown began, you will have heard from us directly already. If you haven’t please contact the office immediately for an update.
As Omni is delivering education, all training is allowed to continue as usual, in line with Government guidance.
Our COVID-19 mitigation measures remain stringent and adhered to by all who attend the academy at all times.
Completing Practical Assessments
If you have practical assessments still to achieve these will have to be booked in on the General Assessment Days.
If arranging models to work on for your assessments these must be people from your household or support bubble.
New: COVID-19 VTCT Infection Prevention
Qualifications Suite
VTCT have developed a suite of Ofqual approved Infection Prevention qualifications in relation to COVID-19.
These have become a mandatory pre-requisite for all VTCT practical qualification courses.
They are also available to study as independent qualifications. Please visit our Infection Prevention Course page for more information on the options available.
They consist of 1 theory assignment and 1 online, multiple choice exam. These modules can be completed entirely as home study.
If you are currently on programme and completing a course with us, you will need to complete the relevant Infection Prevention unit before your next practical assessments can take place.
Please contact the office if you haven’t done so already to receive the correct resources and assignment.
Completing Online Exams
Any online exams that need to be completed, can be sat remotely from home. Please call the office on 01932 232322 so that we can schedule these for you.
All remote exams will be invigilated via zoom. Details will be sent to you once you have booked these in via the office.
Future Students
If you have an upcoming course due to begin in the next 4 weeks, you will have been contacted by Omni already. If you haven’t heard from us and you have any questions or concerns please contact the office on 01932 232322.

What we’re doing to plan & prepare a safe training environment
We want to reassure you that hygiene, health and safety continues to be of the utmost importance.
We have taken into consideration the number of students attending each lesson and have made arrangements for PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to be readily available for all staff and students whilst they are in the Academy. This will include disposable gloves and facemasks and face shields which can be fully sanitised between uses.
